The results of the Jharkhand elections have not only surprised the BJP but have also shocked many current IAS, IPS and retired officers of the state. In this election, a former IAS officer Jyoti Bhramar Tubid (JB Tubid), who is contesting on a BJP ticket, has lost for the second time in a row. Deepak Birua (JMM) of JMM from Chaibasa Vidhan Sabha Constituency has won the JB Tubid by 26 thousand 19 votes to become MLA from Chaibasa for the third time. Deepak has been winning this seat continuously since 2009. To prevent Deepak Biruwa from hat-tricking, BJP fielded Tubid itself even after losing the 2014 election.

Tubid couple has been an IAS officer

Let me tell you that JB Tubid had entered politics in 2014 by taking VRS from the post of Home Secretary of the state, but for the second consecutive time, a simple BA pass candidate defeated a simple BA pass candidate on the strength of his strategy. Experts believe that Tubid's bureaucratic attitude did not appeal to the people of Chaibasa. This was the reason that JMM candidates were ahead in the counting of votes from the first round to the last round and Tubid could not beat Deepak in a single round.

In the Jharkhand assembly elections, BJP had finalized the ticket of JB Tubid in its fourth list. Due to so much delay in giving tickets, the workers were in fear and apprehension. Deepak Biruva of JMM was successful in laying his electoral board against Tubid. A local journalist says that the main reason for Tubid's defeat was his bureaucratic attitude and weak election management. Tubid likes to be called 'Sir', but the public liked to join the lamp and ask for votes.

Tubid entered politics in 2014

Journalists further say, "If you talk about election management, then JB Tubid's election management was being watched by his wife and former Chief Secretary of the state, Rajbala Varma. Despite this, she failed to understand the local people. Tubid made many efforts to help the tribal rural voters, yet he could not achieve success. The JMM also redeemed the Varma title of Tubid's son in this election. The JMM was successful in explaining to the tribals that how can it be the tribals who are giving their son a separate identity from the tribal society. This was also one of the main reasons for Tubid's defeat. However, after losing the 2014 elections, Tubid remained in the area continuously and also connected with the people of the area. This time, his name came in the fourth list of BJP, when the names were not available in the three list, the locals started speculating. However, Tubid got reward from the party for staying in the area for 5 consecutive years, but he could not give the reward of electoral victory to the party. In the 2014 elections too, he lost the JMM to Deepak Birua by about 34 thousand votes.

MM's BA Pass Candidate defeated twice

Please tell that JB Tubid is a 1983 batch IAS officer. In 2014, he took voluntary retirement from government service to fulfill political ambitions. He joined the BJP after taking voluntary retirement. The BJP also nominated Tubid from his own constituency Chaibasa in the 2014 assembly elections. Despite the defeat of Tubid in 2014 elections, BJP was awarded the post of state spokesperson. In the Jharkhand assembly elections of 2019, Tubid played an important role in making the BJP's resolution letter. JB Tubid may have been an IS officer, but his family history has been quite political. Tubid's father Shyam Charan Tubid was a famous freedom fighter. He was also an associate of Vinoba Bhave. Tubid's father has been the first tribal minister of United Bihar. Tubid's father became the Minister of Forest and Panchayati Raj of Bihar in 1961. Shyam Charan Tubid was the first tribal leader who was included in the Bihar cabinet. He was also the chairman of the Bihar Public Service Commission from 1969 to 1973. He died in 2018 at the age of 98. Tubid's wife Rajbala Varma has also been a prominent IAS from Bihar and Jharkhand.

Tubid come from a political family

Tubwala's wife Rajwala Varma was once believed to be very close to Lalu Yadav in his power. Verma was also the district magistrate of Gaya in the 1995 assembly elections in Bihar, but fed by his non-cooperation, the Election Commission disqualified him for future election work. Later, Rajbala Verma became the Chief Secretary of Jharkhand and in the last days of her tenure, she had to face a lot of trouble in the fodder scam case.
