In Uttar Pradesh, students preparing for the Civil Services Examinations (UPSC Civil Services) will now be provided free coaching. Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University ( DDU ) of UP will be the first such university in the state to give free coaching to those preparing for Sanskrit subjects. University Sanskrit Department Head Prof. Murali Manohar Pathak said in a conversation with NDTV , "To increase the popularity of Sanskrit has reduced, we have prepared a plan to give free coaching of civil service examination to Sanskrit students. I sent a proposal for this to the UP Sanskrit Council which has been accepted. Now we will start a batch of 50 students who will be given free coaching.

He said, "Students will be asked to apply for coaching. The application process will be started after 10 days. Students have to submit the application form to the university. To join the batch, students will have to take tests and interviews. Please tell that students of Uttar Pradesh will be able to apply for this free coaching. Only those students will be able to apply, who will choose the Sanskrit subject in the Civil Services Examination. This coaching will be run on the campus of Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University.
