Notification for UPSC CIVIL SERVICES EXAM to be released in February, know details

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will release the details of Civil Services Examination 2020 in February. UPSC Civil Services Exam notification will be released on 12 February 2020.

UPSC EXAM NOTIFICATIONS DETAILS

 The process of application will start as soon as the notification (UPSC Civil Services Notification) is released. The last date to apply is March 3, 2020. UPSC Civil Services Pre Exam will be held on 31 May 2020. The selection of candidates for Civil Services will be done in 3 phases. Prelims exam will be conducted in the first phase, main examination in the second phase and interview in the third phase.

Candidates who have passed the prelims i.e. the preliminary examination, get a chance to participate in the main examination. At the same time, the candidates who pass the main examination are called for interview. The main exam is of 1750 marks while the interview is of 275 marks. Candidates are selected on the basis of scores in main and interview. Pre-examination marks are not added to the final merit list. Every year around 10 lakh candidates apply for the UPSC Civil Services Examination. Vacancies for the post of IAS, IPS, IFS and other officers are filled through the Civil Services Examination .
